VidAnalysis is an educational app for the physical analysis of motion in videos.
Features VidAnalysis
This version of VidAnalysis does not contain ads!Are you tired of having poor measuring instruments in physics lessons?
Then this is the right thing for you!VidAnalysis is a multipurpose tool: In this app measurement, physics and the actual math behind it are combined.
For example you can film the free fall of a small ball or a pendulum experiment with the camera of your smartphone or tablet.
Next you analyze the video by marking the object you want the motion to be tracked in every frame of the video.
With this information the app creates a time-x-distance-, time-y-distance-, x-distance-y-distance-diagram and adds all values to a list.
You can also add your own function to the measured values into the diagrams.Isnt that cool?Summarized: With this app you can- organize your videos for analysis- choose measuring points for analysis- set an absolute length as reference to reality- set an coordinate system and even rotate it- correct your chosen points in analysis- display three diagrams, where you can add an function as a model- display the list of all measured values- share and save this list as CSV filenothing, maintenance release

What Our Users Say
Don't just take our word for it. Here's what our users have to say about our Android app.
"It would be great if we could control the offset of where we place the blue X's"
MeeTerra
"I wanted to measure the rate of rise of a small balloon. I wanted to know the time to reach terminal velocity and to find the terminal velocity. This worked great. I could not figure out how to add an equation but still, got data that otherwise would be difficult to get. That work was indoors and next to video a picoballoon launch and get more data about velocities."
David Voit
"Quick and easy video analysis."
Tom Weller
"So many sports apps cannot measure distances via reference points, but this can, and with detailed features designed for science! Totally awesome being able to measure velocity via smartphone. Also amazing to be able to fit your own mathematical model to the results. The only reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that i cannot zoom video to achieve higher precision for plot points while using tiny smartphone screen. Would prefer additional mode of picking points that requires to press "ok" after pinpointing"

"The app works great now! Thanks for fixing it!"
